A new life coach rarely lacks time to find clients. What runs out is energy at the right moment. Sessions, content and outreach all draw from the same reserve, and if you don't keep your best energy for selling, selling is the first thing to go every week.
Why does your outreach stop when you're tired?

Energy management, for a life coach, means placing each task at the moment you have the strength it requires. Holding space for a client takes listening. Writing a post takes clarity. Messaging someone who showed interest and inviting them to a call takes courage, and courage is the first thing to disappear when you're drained.
So outreach becomes the task you always push back. Three sessions in the morning, emails, and by 5 pm you only have enough left to tidy your desk. A life coach who sells only when she feels like it sells in bursts, and bursts create full months followed by empty ones.
The three energy accounts of a life coach
- What drains you: heavy sessions, follow-ups that make you uneasy, admin at the end of the day.
- What takes courage: reaching out, stating your price, offering a discovery call.
- What recharges you: a session where your client moves forward, kind feedback, a walk, a chat with a fellow coach.
The rule: the courage column comes before the drain column. Your clearest hour belongs to selling, not bookkeeping.
How to plan a week that sells without burning out
A protected selling slot. Two or three times a week, your first working hour goes to writing to people who already showed interest: those who commented, downloaded your guide or replied to a story.
A daily session cap. Past a certain number of sessions you have nothing left. Set your cap and write it down.
Planned recovery. Recovery isn't a weekend reward. Place it right after what drains you, so tomorrow's selling slot is doable.
A life coach who protects a fixed slot for selling keeps new clients coming even in heavy weeks.
What about the days you have nothing left?
Keep a minimum version: one message to one interested person. Five minutes. You keep the thread going, and the thread matters more than volume. Then note what drained you. A client who runs over time or a price you can't hold are often offer problems, and fixing the offer gives energy back.
If you want a selling routine that fits your real energy, book a call.
