A life coach goal that survives slow months is about what you do, not only what you get. Sign clients depends on them. Offer a call every week to interested people depends on you. The first collapses at the first quiet month; the second keeps you moving.
Why do your goals give up at the first slow month?

A resilient goal, for a life coach, is one that stays doable even when results lag. Goals set at launch are often outcome goals: a number of clients, a monthly income. Their flaw is that you don't control them. A client postpones, another hesitates, a holiday month goes by. The goal is missed, and your motivation goes with it.
That's when a coach often stops reaching out. Not for lack of ambition, but because the goal no longer tells them what to do today. The number is out of reach, so why send that message?
The three levels of a goal that holds
The direction. Why you do this work and what life you want it to give you. It isn't measured monthly. It carries you on days when everything feels pointless.
The target result. How many clients you need at once to live from your practice. Work it out from your own price and real needs, not a number you read somewhere. Look at it each quarter, never each week.
The weekly actions. This is the level that moves you. How many conversations opened with interested people? How many discovery calls offered? How many posts about your client's problem? These depend only on you.
A life coach who steers her weekly selling actions reaches her result more reliably than one who only watches the number.
How to hold your goal in a bad month
A bad month isn't a failed goal if the actions were done. It's information about your funnel.
- Did you do your actions? If not, it's an organisation or energy problem, not a market problem.
- Did they open conversations? If not, your message isn't reaching the right person yet: rework your promise and where you post.
- Did conversations lead to calls, then to yes? If not, your discovery call or the way you state your price needs work.
This turns a quiet month into a diagnosis, and next month's goal stays the same: do your actions.
Keep a floor for hard weeks
Plan a minimum version you keep even when ill or overwhelmed, such as one conversation and one post. The floor keeps your practice alive between busier periods. Then review your target result each quarter, kindly. A goal that adjusts isn't a failure; it's a goal that stays true.
If you want selling goals that hold and to know which actions bring clients in, book a call.
