A wellness coaching discovery call follows four steps: welcome her and set the frame, listen to what she is going through, help her picture the wellbeing she wants, then present your program and let her decide. This flow reassures, avoids the disguised free session, and leads to a clear answer.
Why your call needs a flow

A wellness discovery call is a first conversation where the person shares what isn't working and you check together whether your support can help. Without a flow it quickly turns into a consultation: she talks about stress, sleep, exhaustion, and you start giving advice. She leaves soothed, thanks you warmly, and never comes back.
People looking for a wellness practitioner often arrive tired, sometimes wary after disappointing attempts. A structured call reassures them: they feel you know where you are taking them. Structure doesn't remove gentleness. It makes it possible.
Step 1: welcome and set the frame
Put her at ease, then announce the flow: first we'll talk about what you're going through, then what you'd like to get back. At the end I'll tell you whether I can help and how. And if I can't, I'll tell you that too. She knows a proposal is coming, so it won't surprise her, and she knows you can say no, so she trusts you.
Step 2: listen to what she is living
- What made you want to reach out now?
- How do your days go, mornings, evenings, at work?
- What have you already tried to feel better?
Write down her exact words. Resist offering a breathing technique or a tip: you are here to understand, not to coach yet. A wellness practitioner who listens without advising on the discovery call gives the person a reason to come back.
Step 3: help her picture it
Turn toward the future: if you felt truly better in a few months, what would that look like? What would you do that you no longer do? Answers are concrete: sleeping through the night, wanting to go out again, not coming home drained. Then reflect the gap back: today you feel constantly on edge, and you'd like calm and time for yourself again, is that right? When she says yes, she has named the path herself.
Step 4: propose, then let her decide
If you can help, say so clearly and link your program to her words: several weeks, a regular session and a short practice at home, to get back the calm you described. State the price simply, without apologizing. Ask what she thinks, and let the silence work. If she hesitates, ask what makes her hesitate. If she needs time, agree on an answer date and send a short recap the same day. If you can't help, say so and refer her to someone better suited.
A successful wellness discovery call always ends with an answer or an answer date, never with a vague let's talk again.
A flow to repeat
Welcome, listen, picture, propose. Keep those four words in front of you, and after each call note what worked and what slipped. To build your discovery call and the program behind it, book a call.
