# From single sessions to a three-month coaching program
*Reading time : 4 min · Offer & Positioning · 2026-09-18*
**In short :** Tes clientes viennent une fois, puis disparaissent ? Comment construire et proposer un accompagnement sur plusieurs mois qui les fait vraiment avancer.

## How this article unfolds

1. Spot the shared journey — Notice which moments your most successful clients went through, and in what order.
2. Name three stages — Understand, practise, anchor: each stage has a simple name and an expected result.
3. Plan the in-between — Short exercise, optional message, recap note: the client keeps working between sessions.
4. Offer it at session one — Describe the natural next step after what she shared, with the length and rhythm.

Moving from single sessions to a multi-month program means you stop selling isolated appointments and start selling a journey: a starting point, stages, a rhythm and an end. Your client is no longer buying an hour of your time. She is buying the path between today's problem and the life she wants.

## What is a multi-month program?

A multi-month program is a commitment decided at the start, over a fixed length, with named stages and a known rhythm of sessions. It differs from pay-per-session work, where every appointment is a new decision, often made when things are going badly.

You have probably seen the problem with single sessions. A client arrives in crisis, leaves relieved, and doesn't come back. Not because it failed, but because she feels better for a few days. Three weeks later the problem returns and she decides « it doesn't last ». **She got relief, never change.**

## How to split your program into stages

Look at the clients who made the most progress. They went through the same moments in the same order. Those are your stages. For a life coach or a sophrologist they often look like this:

- **Understand:** see clearly what triggers and maintains the problem.
- **Practise:** try tools in real life, come back with what worked and what didn't, adjust.
- **Anchor:** make the new habits natural and check she can manage on her own.

Add what happens between sessions: a short exercise, a way to message you when a hard moment comes, a summary after each meeting. **The work between sessions is what separates a coaching program from a string of appointments.**

## How to offer it without pushing

The best moment is the first session, right after your client has put words on what she is going through. She needs to know what comes next. You can simply say: « This won't be solved in one session. What I suggest is three months: first we understand what's going on, then you practise with my support, then we make sure it holds without me. » You are not selling, you are describing what you see.

On your website, lead with the program, its stages and its length. If you keep single sessions, present them as a first meeting to see whether you'll work together.

## What about your current clients?

You don't need to change everything overnight. Next time a regular client comes back, take five minutes to review: what has changed, what keeps returning? Then suggest structuring the next few months around a clear goal. Some will say no. Others will be relieved, because they felt they were going round in circles.

A practitioner who sells a multi-month program sells change, not short-lived relief. If you'd like to build yours from your real practice, [book a call](https://call.bizzyconsulting.agency/).
## Frequently asked questions

**How do I move from single sessions to coaching packages?**

Spot the stages your most successful clients went through, name them, set a length and a session rhythm. Then offer this program in the first session as the natural next step after what your client has just shared, and move single sessions into the background on your website.

**Why don't my clients come back after one session?**

Often because they leave feeling relieved: the problem seems solved for a few days, then it returns and they decide it doesn't last. A single session brings relief, not change. A program with stages and work between sessions gives change the time it needs to settle in.

**How long should a coaching program last?**

The right length is the time your clients need to go through every stage you've observed: understanding, practising, anchoring. Many practitioners work over six weeks or three months, but start from your real practice rather than a rule, and always announce a clear end date.

**Should I stop offering single coaching sessions?**

Not necessarily. You can keep single sessions, but they should no longer be your main offer. Present them as a first meeting to see whether you'll work together, and put the program first on your website and in your conversations with prospects.
