# Wellness coaching: how to write a promise people actually buy
*Reading time : 4 min · Offer & Positioning · 2026-09-24*
**In short :** « Je t'aide à retrouver ton équilibre » ne se vend pas. Comment écrire une promesse d'accompagnement que ta future cliente comprend et peut acheter.

## How this article unfolds

1. Start from her words — Reread client messages and note the exact phrases they use to describe their daily struggle.
2. Describe the visible after — Write what she will do or feel at the end, without promising what you cannot control.
3. Map a dated journey — Give three main stages and a fixed length so the decision becomes possible.
4. Test it in conversations — Check whether prospects repeat your words and ask about their case rather than the price.

A wellness coaching promise becomes something people can buy when they can see three things: what will be different for them, how you will get there together, and how long it takes. **« I help you find balance »** shows none of that. Name the change, map the steps, set an end date.

## What is a buyable promise?

A buyable promise is a sentence that describes a concrete change in your client's life, over a known timeframe, with a way of working she can picture. It is not a slogan and it is not a list of sessions.

Compare two lines. One says: « I guide people towards more calm. » The other says: « In three months, you sleep through the night again and you know what to do when anxiety rises in the evening. » The first one sounds nice. The second one can be bought, because it answers the silent question every prospect asks: what will I actually get?

When the promise stays vague, people have to imagine the work on their own. They can't, so they put it off: « I'll think about it », « let's talk after the holidays ». Your price is rarely the problem. They simply don't know what they are buying.

## Why wellness language blurs your offer

Words like alignment, balance or reconnection are true for you, because you know what they mean in your practice. For someone reading your page, they stay abstract. Nobody wakes up thinking « I lack alignment ». They think « I can't sleep », « I snap at my kids », « I cry in the car before work ».

**The practitioner's vocabulary describes the method; the client's vocabulary describes the problem.** A promise that sells speaks the client's language.

## How to build your promise in three parts

- **The starting point:** describe her situation in her own words, so she recognises herself in the first sentence.
- **The destination:** describe what will be observably different at the end, and avoid miracles you can't control.
- **The path:** give the main stages and a fixed duration, such as six weeks or three months. A clear end turns a vague intention into a decision.

## How do you know it works?

People repeat your words back to you. Their questions shift from « how much is a session? » to « does this work if I do night shifts? », which is already a buying question. And you can explain what you do in one sentence to a friend, which means your clients can refer you.

If none of that happens, don't change your method. Change your words: reread your first clients' messages, underline their phrases and rebuild the promise with them.

A wellness offer sells when the promise shows a before, an after and a dated path, in the client's language. If you'd like to work on yours from your real conversations, [book a call](https://call.bizzyconsulting.agency/).
## Frequently asked questions

**How do I describe my wellness coaching offer?**

Describe it in three parts: your client's starting point in her own words, what will be observably different at the end, and the main stages with a fixed duration. When people can see the before, the after and the path, they can decide. When they only read « balance » or « alignment », they postpone.

**Why do prospects only ask how much a session costs?**

When the promise is vague, the price is the only concrete thing they can hold on to. Once your page describes a specific change and a timeframe, questions shift to their situation, such as « does this work if I do night shifts? ». That shift tells you the promise has become buyable.

**Which words should a wellness coach avoid on a sales page?**

Avoid words that describe your method rather than your client's problem: alignment, reconnection, harmony, energy. They are accurate for you but abstract for her. Replace them with what she lives every day, like « I wake up at 3am » or « I snap at people over nothing ».

**Should a wellness program have a fixed length?**

Yes. A fixed length, such as six weeks or three months, turns a vague intention into a commitment people can weigh up. They know when it starts, when it ends and what they should have gained. Without a clear end, many people never dare to begin.
